Nikki Haney:
When I was seven years old after a service at Lequire Baptist Church, I realized that I was a sinner and needed to ask God to save me from my sins. I knew I couldn't go home that night (actually I was terrified to go home) without first getting right with the Lord. From that day forward my heavenly father changed my life. He has been my rock through all stages of life and has never forsaken me. Do you have a rock? If not, ask me and I would love to tell you about mine.
Andy Hubbard:
I am Andy Hubbard. We started attending Lequire Baptist Church in August 2008. We were treated like family from day one. Everyone loved us. There was always a helping hand if needed, sick or well. I think the people at Lequire love the Lord and give that way. In John 14:34 it says, "a new commandment I give unto you that you love one another as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." We were blessed with a good Pastor for seven years, Willard Frances and now we are blessed again with a new Pastor, Tim Perkins and his family that we love.

Linda Martin:
Down through the years I have seen many changes in Lequire Baptist Church. I was saved and became a member July 29, 1951. In the first membership book purchased my mother's roll number was three and mine was thirty two. My grandparents Lloyd and Thelma Sloan helped organize the church with the help of many others. Thelma Sloan gave the land where the first church was built. I have seen many changes from that first church on built on East Main Street by donated materials and labor. Without the thought of a loan and by faith the new brick church was built by donated help from members and the community. When it was finished, it was debt free. Another blessing from the Lord. Soon the church was too small and another addition was built debt free. The new church, as we call it, started with a building fund in addition to the money that was already in the bank. With the guidance of the Lord we could hire skilled carpenters, but we still had a lot of donated labor. Again the church was debt free. I feel so blessed. These are just a few things I have seen in my seventy-five years as a member. All praise and glory to God.

"Lequire Baptist Church has played a big part in my entire life. Its members were always a steady, positive influence throughout my formative years and any character I now have I attribute closely to them. Lequire Baptist Church is where I now choose to serve the Lord as the Music Director and I am the third generation of my family to do so. I have had many opportunities to attend other churches but the sound doctrine and steady leadership of Lequire Baptist Church have kept me here."
